Jubilee of the 70th anniversary of the District Mining Office in Kielce31 October 2023
Friday, October 27, marked the 70th anniversary of the District Mining Office in Kielce. Invited guests included representatives of the management of the State Mining Authority in Katowice, directors of the District Mining Authorities in Kraków, Krosno, Warsaw and Lublin, authorities of the State Labor Inspectorate in Kielce and Łódź, a representative of the Office of Technical Inspection in Kielce, authorities of the Association of Mining Engineers and Technicians - Kielce branch, as well as current and former employees of the office.
The meeting began with a collective performance of the Mining Hymn, then director Marzena Rabiasz presented an outline of the Office's history since 1953, when, under the decree of the Minister of Mining on the establishment of districts and seats of mining offices, the District Mining Office in Kielce was established. Participants in the celebration had the opportunity to learn how the Authority's local jurisdiction has changed and get acquainted with detailed statistics on supervised mining facilities. The director of the DMO in Kielce emphasized the enormous contribution of her predecessors to the shape of the current office. In addition, the gathered guests were able to see a rich presentation of collected photographs, both archival and contemporary. It is worth mentioning that all the information presented was included in a publication issued especially for this occasion, entitled: “District Mining Office in Kielce. 70 years of mining supervision”.
In addition to making traditional jubilee wishes to the management of the DMO in Kielce during the numerous speeches, the guests could share their experiences and memories related to the Office.
