Ukrainian delegation in the State Mining Authority

A five-person delegation from the Ukrainian State Committee of Health and Safety at Work paid a visit to the State Mining Authority from 12 to 14 May 2009.
The vice president of the Committee Oleg Rumezhak was a head of the delegation.
The issues of organization and competences of mining supervision authorities, safety aspects of mining operations as well as legal issues of supervision and control of mining plants in Poland and Ukraine were discussed at the meetings in the SMA on Tuesday, 12 May and Thursday, 14 May. Moreover, the parties talked about the scope of further cooperation and a common declaration to be signed.
Furthermore, the delegates from Ukraine had an opportunity to visit the “Pniówek" coal mine, the Experimental Mine “Barbara" and the Archive of Mine Survey and Geological Documentation in the SMA.
