‘United for a safe future’ at the European Economic Congress

On Wednesday, 23 April 2025, the 17th European Economic Congress started. The three-day event was held in Katowice's International Congress Centre and Spodek Arena under the motto 'United for a safe future'. The meetings and discussions focused on security and economic transformation.

One of the most essential points of the event was a conference organised by the Ministry of Industry as part of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union. At the invitation of the Minister of Industry, Marzena Czarnecka, it was attended by the President of the State Mining Authority - Piotr Litwa. The session was devoted to European issues of energy and security. Panels discussed, among other issues, a fair transition and the future of mining and industrial regions. The assumptions of the White Paper on Transformation were also presented.

Guests from Poland, Europe, and the world attended the Congress, including EU commissioners, prime ministers, representatives of the governments of European countries, presidents of major companies, academics and practitioners, and other influential figures of economic and social life.
