2nd European Industry and Energy Congress ‘Industry in Transition’

On 29-30 May 2025, the 2nd European Industry and Energy Congress 'Industry in Transition' took place in Wisła. This year's event focused on the key challenges encountered by industry and the energy sector in the face of the climate and technology transition.

Hundreds of experts, business leaders, government representatives and academics participated in intensive talks, panel discussions and networking meetings. At the organisers' invitation, the President of the State Mining Authority, Piotr Litwa, participated in a debate entitled 'Safety in the operations of industrial, mining and metallurgical plants'. In this panel, experts debated how advanced technologies, modern management methods, stringent legal regulations, and ongoing employee education can improve safety in mining, smelting and related industries.

The Congress was organised by the Regional Chamber of Commerce in Katowice. The Chamber has been actively supporting the development of the industrial and energy sector in the region for 35 years.
