Consistency in regulatory frameworks was the main topic of the meeting of the geotechnical and construction sectors

15 April 2026

The 5th Geotechnical Engineering and Underground Construction Congress is currently taking place. Piotr Litwa, President of the State Mining Authority, took part in the panel discussion entitled `Geological, Mining and Construction Law - Regulatory Consistency as the Foundation for the Efficient Implementation of Projects`.

The event, organised by Wydawnictwo Inżynieria from 14 to 16 April in Warsaw, is a regular fixture and attracts considerable interest from professionals involved in infrastructure projects. The conference brought together representatives from academia, the engineering sector, contractors, technology developers, investors, and state institutions. The congress programme includes expert presentations, panel discussions, technical sessions and a site visit to the Warsaw metro construction site. Issues related to innovation in infrastructure projects are discussed in detail, taking into account the industry's experiences and challenges.

During the event, as in previous congresses, the TYTAN 2026 awards were presented, recognising achievements in geotechnical engineering and underground construction.

The 5th Geotechnical Engineering and Underground Construction Congress was held under the honorary patronage of the President of the State Mining Authority.
