SMA’s President visit to Slovak State Mining Authority

On 16–17 August 2007 President of the State Mining Authority Mr Piotr Buchwald and Director of the Department of Environmental Protection and Deposit Management Mr Zdzisław Kulczycki, invited by the Slovak State Mining Authority’s President JUDr. Ing. Peter Kúkelčík, paid a visit to the Slovak State Mining Authority.
The topics for discussion were: the organization and scope of competences of mining and geological supervision authorities, legal basis and supervision over geothermal waters as well as aggregate extraction.
Moreover, SMA’s delegates visited magnesite mine "Jelšava", where they were acquainted with the monitoring system of strata stability.
