The analysis of methane utilization possibilities from discharge air from mining shafts of the Polish hard coal mines
The utilization of methane being liberated during opencast mining of coal beds is essential for economic and ecological reasons. In Poland, the methane being liberated during mining of coal is carried away to the surface by using methane drainage system (high content of methane from 30% to 100% CH4) as well as together with discharge air (maximum permissible content 0.75% CH4). The article presents resources MWENT in Poland as well as the analysis of MWENT utilization possibilities for energy and heating purposes.
