Piotr Wojtacha, MSc
Piotr Wojtacha was born on 23rd March 1959 in Chmielnik. He completed his secondary education at the Technical School of Geology in Kielce. He received his Master of Science degree from the Faculty of Mining of AGH University of Science and Technology in the field of mining and geology.
He also completed a post-graduate course on business management and marketing conducted by the Faculty of Organization and Management of the Silesian University of Technology.
He worked in hard coal mining plant “Gliwice” in the Department of Mine Survey and Geological Documentation. In 1991 he joined the District Mining Office in Gliwice where he worked as the chief mining plants inspector, Vice-director and, finally, as the Office’s Director. In 2011 he moved to the State Mining Authority and became the Director of the Department of Environmental Protection and Deposit Management.
On 11th September 2015 he was appointed to the position of Vice-president of the State Mining Authority.
Married. Has two daughters.
